Why Do We Sponsor?
-
In order to maximize our ability to serve our present customers and to provide
time to focus on the needs of new contacts.
-
Unless we sponsor new people, on a regular basis, our AIM business and
therefore our AIM income will be difficult to increase.
-
It gives the customer the convenience of home delivery and the absolute lowest
price on their purchases.
-
A fourth reason for sponsoring as soon as you can is to prevent your customer,
who is subject to the same media hype and competitor persuasions as we all are,
from straying away from your product and service for another.

When To Sponsor
When to sponsor is generally just good judgement as to the customers needs.
Some examples, covering many but not all situations are: ( and this is assuming
you are presently providing the product at AIM's suggested retail price)
-
When a new customer reorders, explain the advantages of being an AIM member.
-
When a customer buys at retail to share with others.
-
When your customer lives too far for easy delivery of product.
-
When your customer is a referral or is someone you have never met, they may
have called from out of state or province and may even be in a different
country. When this is the case, you must determine immediately if they would
like to receive it wholesale, delivered to their door and with a 10% discount.
Other benefits are:
-
Free delivery to their door.
-
Toll free number for ordering.
-
A customer service centre to answer all needs and questions.
-
A membership information binder worth $25.00 US.
-
A monthly health publication. Partners magazine provides education and leading
edge news on health and products and keeps us up to date with the company.
-
The opportunity to earn a free membership renewal (for 600 points accumulated
in one year).
-
Free participation in AIM contests to win trips, prizes, products and more.
Why Not To Sponsor
Sponsoring is not always the best choice. In fact, you must continue to
maintain a certain number of retail contacts each month in order to receive
your maximum benefit from being a member. If you order 6 bottles per month,
(for the maximum discount) use one yourself and retail the other 5, you will
make enough profit from sales to pay for your own
AIM
Barleygreen
TM
( and have $7.40
in your pocket. In other words, your profit from the sale of five bottles is
$35.75 from which your own bottle $ 28.35 is paid.
Once the customer knows all of the benefits of membership because you have
explained it to them, the next mention of it should be from them. If they perceive
that you are just trying to sign them up to meet your needs, then you may never
sponsor them and in fact you may lose them as a customer because they see you
as a high pressure salesperson. So, never sponsor until the time is right for
them. There are ways to make sponsorship more attractive if you feel you
really must do it at any cost, but that should only become a factor when you
see that you may lose contact with them otherwise.
So here are a few examples of when we do not sponsor:
-
My customer wants personal contact with me on a regular basis to get new
information or get questions answered.
-
My customer is elderly, unable to move freely because of age, health or maybe
doesn't own a vehicle. He or she may need my personal contact.
The most important single thought to focus on when serving your customers is
that you are there for them. You, upon offering them your product, have
committed to offering them the very best of nutrition. This should be
accompanied by the very best of service as the standard. If we wish to grow a
productive business with high integrity, quality of service is not an option,
it is the rule.
Direct Financial Benefit of Membership
For your Customer:
Membership is $25.00 in the US.
AIM
Barleygreen
TM
(7 oz. size) is $31.50 per bottle at cost. Six bottles at $31.50 is $189.00.
Now because this order exceeds $165.00, a 10% discount is applied which brings
the cost down to $170.10. Add a membership, and your total is $195.10.
When a customer buys 6 at retail price (1 or two at a time) their cost is 6 X
35.50 or $213.00 plus the cost of getting it from you, whether in travel costs
(time and fuel) or in phone and waiting time if you are delivering. Your
customer could realistically save as much as 20 to 30 dollars every 6 months
just by becoming a member.
Benefits For You:
Sponsoring a customer, whether next door or across the nation, ensures that you
and your business will be the source of all AIM contact for a minimum of 12
months. During this time, you may monitor their progress in a number of areas.
-
How regular they order product and how much.
-
How interested they may be to share the AIM products with others and,
-
How well they respond to invitations to become more involved, attend home
meetings and training seminars and to your personal calls relative to your
relationship with them. I say relationship with them because not all contacts
are going to be amiable and happy to hear from you. Some sponsorship benefits
for you may be that you are able to distance yourself somewhat from a
difficult person while still providing a way for them to receive service and
contribute to your monthly volume. You may, over the course of the year, be
able to change their mind somewhat to make life easier for both of you.
During a membership year, you may begin to receive commissions based upon the
volume, (monthly orders) accumulated by you and all of those sponsored under
you. For example:
You order 6
AIM
Barleygreen
TM
this month. (25 points per bottle) You have 150 personal points. Sponsored
Member #1 orders 6
AIM
Barleygreen
TM
, you receive credit for an additional 150 points. The member receives that
same credit. You now have 300 points credit.
With orders totaling 450 points over a period of three consecutive months, you
will be promoted to the first commission level in the AIM Marketing plan.
See Ladder Of Opportunity handbook or click here
At 450 points, you will become a Preferred Member and receive a 6% commission
override cheque based upon the points ordered in the month you qualify.
How To Sponsor A New Member
Sponsoring a new member should be seen as a way for both parties to receive
more than they have now. The new member will receive all benefits as discussed
previously, and you as the sponsor will receive specific benefits by going
through the process.
When we sponsor, we have already focussed on the savings to the customer
through buying a minimum of 1 X 6 pack of product. We then have to sit down at
a favorable moment either at their residence or ours, to fill out the
application and then process their order. We generally prefer to sponsor at
our home where all materials, forms, supplies, books, tapes etc. are readily
available. You may want to offer the customer, soon to become a member, the
option of substituting
AIM
Barleygreen
TM
( or
AIM
Herbal Fiberblend
TM
)
for a bottle or two of another product. This allows the new member to receive
some variety in their initial purchase and still credits them (and you) for 150
points.
There is only one reason to sponsor without an order of 150 points minimum.
That would be if you perceive from their financial position that they cannot
handle that large a purchase.
There is no reason to sponsor someone without an order. It is of no benefit to
you or to the new member, and if they don't order when they pay their
membership, they may never order. Keeping a member current, paying for their
membership, and accounting for them for 12 months in the AIM computers are all
very costly. Without an order, the whole process is little more than a great
inconvenience to you, your prospect and AIM. Remember sponsorship should
always be a win/win/win situation.
Options to the 6 pack order are:
-
A Garden Trio - 75 points
-
A 2 pack (50 points) of product to get them started and give them an instant
saving on the shipping. For single item orders, shipping must be paid. For
any order over US $50.00, delivery is free.
When making application for a new membership, it is important to review the AIM
Policies and Procedures documentation and discuss briefly the AIM Mission
Statement and Code of Ethics. Once the membership form is completed, signed by
both you and the new member you can call it in right away while the new member
is present and have them listen on the line if you have an extension. You can
place their initial order as well to demonstrate just how easy it is to do so.
Once you hang up the phone, a short welcome celebration, a smile and a
handshake, will help them feel that they have become a special new part of
something worth belonging to. They are and they have. You now have a new
member in your downline. Look after them, and they will stay with you.
Congratulations!
