Professional Experiences

Dean of the School of Home Economics for Eastern Illinois University from 1963 to 1980. She retired from this position. Head of Foods and Nutrition for the University of Nevada from 1958 to 1961, when she resigned to pursuea Doctorate. Assistant Professor of Foods and Nutrition for Purdue University from 1956-1958. Head of the Home Economics Department for Queen's College from 1946-1949. A District Nutritionist for The Ohio Health Department from 1944-1946. High School Teacher in North Carolina for six years.

The President of the Illinois Home Economics Association. And President of the Illinois Council on Family Relations and the Illinois Nutrition Committee.
