Men's Health
Concerns unique to men
For many years, most medical and health - related research was done on men, and it was assumed that women have the same health problems and needs. We now realize that this is not true. The symptoms and progression of diseases differ between men and women. Men have unique needs due to their unique physiology, and may benefit from different health strategies.
When things go wrong
Men have special considerations. These include prostate concerns (uninary dysfunction, infection, cancer), impotence, and fertility (sperm count, sperm motility) are a worry.
Fifty to sixty percent of men over 50 years of age have a prostate problem.
